WATER SOURCE HEAT PUMP
PERIOD WATER MILL
Servicing a renovated Mill, we installed a set of Energy Blades - essentially stainless steel heat exchangers - in the adjacent River to extract up to 22kW of energy from the water. Coupled with a Clausius 5-25kW heatpump and over-sized radiators, the Mill is now warm and toasty!
GROUND SOURCE HEAT PUMP
COUNTRY HOUSE
We replaced a 10 year old under-sized heat pump with a new Clausius 3-15kW inverter-driven heat pump in this architect-designed house outside Salisbury. The owner, an Engineer, had very specific requirements that we were able to meet.Read about it here in an article in Homebuilding Magazine
Air Souce Heat Pump
Domestic Bungalow
A complete installation of a "wet" radiator system and 14kW ASHP replaced the old night storage heaters that were increasingly costly and inefficient to run. We also installed a Metering, Monitoring and Service Package (MMSP), allowing the homeowner to monitor their system's performance over the internet, download Excel data and most importantly, get paid £1,615 as part of the Government's scheme!
BIOMASS PELLET BOILER
SPLIT LEVEL COTTAGE
This customer wanted us to install a pellet boiler in his open fronted garage to heat his 3 bedroom split level cottage and also wanted a bespoke fuel storage facility with at least 5 tonnes capacity.
Bioheat installed an ETA PC 25kW pellet boiler in the garage and built a bespoke fuel storage in keeping with the original garage which holds at least 5 tonnes of pellets. A district heating system was used to get the heat from the garage up to the house, but due to the split level of the building, the piping all had to go in through the cellar.
BIOMASS WOODCHIP
LEISURE CENTRE
Lords Meadow Leisure Centre, located in Crediton is a large facility with a swimming pool, large sports hall, squash and tennis courts as well as several dance/exercise studios and a fi tness suite. Mid
Devon Leisure were looking a new energy saving way of heating the centre and we were able to design a system that did just the job.
GAS BOILER
LISTED CHURCH
St. George’s Church in Portsea is a Grade 2* listed building and was built in 1753 by local dockyard workers, it was originally named the shipwright’s church.
Bioheat installed an energy efficient condensing gas boiler with full weather compensation interface. In simple terms the outside temperature dictates the boiler demand, so providing as much, or as little energy required to heat the space. The added benefit is the improved life expectancy of the boiler and associated components and clearly the reduced energy consumption and related costs.
WATER SOURCE HEAT PUMP
COUNTRY HOUSE
Pumping water from the River Brue from 85m away to the heatpump located in the garage, we connected to the new radiator system in the house using super-insulated pipework, ensuring minimal losses. The new system is efficient and exceptionally cheap to run.

BIOMASS LOGS
FARMHOUSE B & B
Ebborlands Farm is a six bedroomed, 2 bathroom, stone farmhouse, running on mains gas and an old wood burner. The customer was keen to use windfall timber from his property and reduce costs and be more environmentally friendly. The customer was also keen to ensure that his installation would qualify for any future domestic RHI payments.
Bioheat recommended an Eco Angus 40kw Log Gasification Boiler. When asked what the customer thought of his installation he said “To be honest I just think of the money I am saving”. In the customers feedback he was very satisfied with the advice from Bioheat regarding his options and with the installation.
